JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – The Mississippi Department of Corrections ended the lockdown for all of its facilities on Monday, November 19th.
Visitation, commissary and outside recreation have resumed at the Mississippi State Penitentiary at Parchman, East Mississippi Correctional Facility, South Mississippi Correctional Institution and the Wilkinson County Correctional Facility.
According to MDOC, the facilities affected by the lockdown in October are now back to normal operations in the system.
The facilities include three state prisons, three private prisons and 15 regional facilities.
