Black Caucus to Host Public Hearing about Medical Marijuana.

The Mississippi Legislative Black Caucus is sponsoring a public hearing on the legalization of Medical Marijuana and its proposed effects on the state’s economy.

The public hearing starts today at 1pm inside the Mississippi State Capitol in Room 202.

Dr. Victor Chou, Michael Mayes and Attorney Bethany Nieubauer are the guest speakers.

Chou is the founder and Medical Director of the Medical Marijuana Clinic of Louisiana. It is the first Medical Marijuana specialty clinic in Louisiana. 

Micahel Mayes is from Chicago. He is a member of the International Cannabinoid Research Society (ICRS) and he was named one of the most influential voices of international cannabis consulting by the CannaInsider podcast. 

Nieubauer is the Chief Compliance Consultant for American Cannabis Company and she specializes in preparing license applications in emerging markets for clients who have limited experience with the cannabis industry.

During the hearing, legislators will present proposed bills that have been introduced.
