The Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks is hosting public meetings to discuss changes for next year’s hunting season.
This comes as a response to chronic wasting disease.
On April 30, the meeting will be held at the Mississippi Museum of Natural Science in Jackson.
There will another meeting on May 7 at the Forrest County Mississippi State Extension Office.
Both of the meetings will begin at 6 pm.
There were several reports of the chronic wasting disease this last deer season.
