Kids and families swarmed the Mississippi Children’s Museum Saturday for the silly birthday bash for beloved children’s author Dr. Seuss.
The annual celebration of the legendary author entails a series of events, which made children eager about reading.
The museum president says the day is an important one because his ability to impact kids is so big.
“Children learn to read and they love Dr. Seuss books,” she said. “It’s all about language development, building vocabulary, hearing and seeing a number of words and Dr. Seuss’s books are very intriguing to children and the characters in the books are very fascinating to children.”
