Mississippi Woman Accused of Producing Child Pornography

Local News
Officials say a Mississippi woman accused of producing child pornography was working with an immigrant living illegally in Louisiana.

The Sun Herald reports charges against 37-year-old Mary Torres of Lucedale and 44-year-old Miguel Martinez of Harvey, Louisiana, are linked.

Torres was arrested last week on one count of child exploitation by agents for Mississippi Attorney General Jim Hood. Officials said Friday more charges are forthcoming.

Martinez was arrested last week and booked on 100 counts of possession of child pornography involving children under 13, one count of production of child pornography involving a child under 13 and one count of sexual battery of a child under 13.

Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry pointed to the arrest in calling on Congress to support President Donald Trump’s wall on the Mexican border.
