More than $1.9 million awarded to Mississippi

More than $1.9 million dollars was given to support distance learning and telemedicine programs. The grants will help projects at North Pike, Holly Springs, Lauderdale County School Districts, as well as Forrest County General Hospital.

Senator Roger Wicker released a statement about the grant saying in part, “these targeted investments from the USDA Rural Development Program will help connect students to education, job seekers to employment opportunities and rural patients to high quality health care for years to come.”
