RIDGELAND, Miss. (WJTV) – Authorities arrested a suspect who barricaded himself inside of a Ridgeland home Wednesday morning.
Ridgeland Police Chief Brian Myers said the incident on Nolan Circle started as a domestic dispute. According to witnesses, two males, who live at the home, were arguing loudly when one of the men hit the other with a shovel.
The police chief said this is not the first time officers have responded to a call on the home for domestic issues.
Myers said the suspect, Martin Andrew Allen, barricaded himself inside the home for more than an hour before he was arrested. He will be charged with aggravated domestic assault.
Allen and the victim did not have serious injuries. Police said Allen did not have a weapon on him at the time of his capture.
RIDGELAND, Miss. (WJTV) – Multiple law enforcement agencies responded to a home in Ridgeland Wednesday morning.
The incident happened at a home on Nolan Circle. Police have not provided an update on the situation at this time, but they do have Nolan Circle blocked off at both entries.
Some of the agencies that responded to the home include Ridgeland police, the Madison County Sheriff’s Office and a SWAT team.
