The most traveled attraction in Mississippi is feeling the pinch of a federal shutdown.
All offices on the Natchez Trace are closed. Rangers left messages to let visitors know staffing is at a minimum.
Some of those notes have been vandalized with anti trump messages and another saying to support government workers.
The Natchez Trace Parkway is owned by the government so as a result federal employees have not been working during the shutdown. Restrooms are locked, the trash has not been taken out and there is no staff on the grounds in case of an emergency.
