JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Capitol police are investigating a shooting that happened on Wednesday, February 8 near Highball Lanes in Fondren.

A spokesperson for Highball Lanes said a person was shot in a drive-by shooting in front of a nearby restaurant. The victim had visited Highball Lanes earlier in the evening and returned to get medical help.

An employee with medical training was able to provide first aid until authorities could arrive at the scene.

The spokesperson said the shooting didn’t arise from anything that happened at the business, but said it was related to a domestic situation.

They said the victim is expected to recover from the shooting.
