PEARL, Miss. (WJTV) – Pearl’s assistant police chief has been fired.
Greg Flynn with the City of Pearl said Assistant Chief Amanda Thomasson was terminated on Tuesday, October 17 by the Board of Aldermen during an executive session.
Flynn said the firing was a “personnel matter.”
Thomasson was promoted to assistant chief in January 2022. She was the first woman in the position at the Pearl Police Department.
