We’re taking a closer look at the People’s Advocacy Institute as it works with the Jackson community to fight crime. The City of Jackson has teamed up with the organization in an effort to prevent violence before it happens. Rukia Lumumba says violence interruption programs are effective and a way to mediate conflict. Another model she’s researched is credible messaging. She believes these two models will reduce crime in Jackson.
