Due to a recent loss in water pressure from a water main repair, the City of Jackson Water/Sewer Utilities Division says people living on the 3700 through 3999 block of W. Northside Drive in Jackson should boil their water.

The boil order is a precautionary measure, city officials say.

The advisory is in effect until further notice is given.

Customers are advised to boil their drinking water until “adequate pressure is restored to the system,” a press release said.

Water should be brought to a rolling boil for one minute, if using for cooking, baking, ice cubes, taking medication, brushing teeth, washing food, mixing baby formula or food, mixing juices or drinks, feeding pets, washing dishes and all other consumption.
