CLINTON, Miss.(WJTV) – Red and yellow caution tape line the home where four people were shot and killed during a domestic hostage situation Saturday.
If your ride past the home on Foxhill Drive you’ll see blown out windows, doors and debris in the front yard.
Laura White, who’s been a resident in the Huntcliff subdivion for decades, says it’s hard to believe this really happened in the small town.
“I’m just stunned. It looks like a tornado came through here and hit just one house.”
White detailed Saturday’s events, explaining she heard gunfire and loud bomb like sounds coming from the home. She also said she heard authorities speaking over a megaphone, trying to do everything they can to get the 34-year-old suspect Nam Lê out.
Residents like White say now is the time for people in the community to come together and speak up when something’s not right.
“Just you know know your neighbors, try to know who your neighbors are and friend them, and if you suspect something notify the authorties or family members.”
