The school supply drive took place right outside of Kroger along I-55 and Walmart on Highway 18 for Jackson Public School teachers.
People dropped off supplies such as paper, pencils, crayons, markers, highlighters, folders, glue sticks, and more.
“This is a major expense. You’d be surprised to know the price teachers incur trying to get supplies for students.” Lynette Suttlar, a member of Women for Progress for Mississippi added, “It’s an issue and it’s a cost we believe in. We want to make their school life a little easier.”
