The Junior Auxliary of Clinton will put the fun in fund raiser this Saturday (3/30/19) night. The brick streets of Clinton are the place to be from 5 unitl 9 for the first ever Spring Thing. The Junior Auxiliary of Clinton has spent months planning.
Meredith Jierski is the Fund Raising Chair.
She says, “Delicious barbecue vendors, we’re gonna have a crawfish vendor there as well. We’ve got a beer vendor. We’re going to have a Kidzone, with bounce houses and ball pits and sand pits and stuff like that.”
Jolyn Stone is the President of the J-A of Clinton.
She adds, “We’ve had some amazing sponsorships: Ichiban, Entergy, The Clinton Courier, Gotta Go Service Center. Everybody has just been so great.”
And why not? The J-A of Clinton gives back all year long. Volunteers help children get ready for preschool, find out if they need eye glasses, there is the Eggstra special egg hunt, and many other charitable endeavors.”
Jolyn explains, “When we’ve asked for help for money for silent auction items, people have just donated and been really excited to help us succeed in our community.”
The auction may be silent, but there’s a lineup of live music. You can buy your tickets from a member, on the Junior Auxiliary of Clinton Facebook page, or by going on Eventbrite and typing in Spring Thing.
Meredith says, “Come on down to our event.”
Jolyn chips in, “We hope to see lots of folks at the Spring Thing for a big time.”
The silent auction items include memberships at Clinton area gyms and jewelry from Kendra Scott.
Organizers are hoping to make the Spring Thing an annual event.
