Suspected burglary ring busted by Vicksburg Police

The Vicksburg Police Department say they believe they have the people responsible for a rash of burglaries and armed robberies in the area.

Arrests were made following an armed robbery this past Monday evening.

The vet at a local clinic was robbed at gunpoint as she was closing the clinic for the night. 

After investigating the incident, police began to link evidence in the case to similar crimes.

Lt. Johnnie Edwards says six people have been charged on multiple counts of armed robbery and conspiracy to commit burglary.

  • Alton Andre Burden, 48, charged with 2 counts of Armed Robbery, 2 counts of Business Burglary and 2 counts of Conspiracy.
  • Jaquan Shondaerious Burden, 18, charged with 3 counts of Business Burgulary, 2 counts of Armed Robbery, 2 counts of Conspiracy and 1 count of False Pretense.
  •  Derrick Lee Darden, Jr., 18, charged with 2 counts of Armed Robbery, 2 counts of Conspiracy and 1 count of False Pretense.
  • Trayvon Quntis Barnett, 17, charged with 1 count of Armed Robbery, 2 counts of Business Burglary and 2 counts of Conspiracy to Commit the Crimes.
  • Barry Clark, 17, charged with 1 count of Armed Robbery and 1 count of Conspiracy.
  • Rose Ann Williams-Miller, 39. charged with 1 count of Armed Robbery and 1 count of Conspiracy.

All suspects appeared Friday, November 2, 2018 in Vicksburg Municipal Court.

Other charges may be pending.
