With Thanksgiving a few days away, holiday travel is expected to be busy.
AAA predicts 54 million Americans will travel 50 miles or more away from home on Thanksgiving 2018. The organization said the number is a nearly 5% increase from 2017, and it’s the highest number since 2005.
If you’re one of the more than 48 million Americans traveling by car, you could be in for a long journey. Global mobility analytics company INRIX predicts travel times in the most congested cities could be up to four times longer than normal in the United States.
Drivers are also concerned about gas prices this year. According to GasBuddy.com, the lowest price in Jackson is $2.09 at the Valero on Ellis Avenue.
