It’s a favorite time of the year for the staff at WJTV 12. We joined I Heart Radio and U.P.S. to gather much needed non-perishable food for the Mississippi Food Network. And our community showed up and showed out!

A steady stream of people gave from a list of goods at four Kroger locations in the tri-county area. It is definitely as much of a bright spot for the volunteers to be out in the sunshine and to visit with friends and viewers.
The Mississippi Food Network collects food to serve people statewide. If you would like to donate toward meals this Thanksgiving. Here is a list of things to choose from. Just one or two cans can make the all the difference, not just now but all year long!

⦁ Canned Meats: Ham, tuna, chili, beef stew, spam, chicken, Vienna sausage, chicken & dumplings
⦁ Peanut Butter
⦁ Canned fruit, regular lite
⦁ Canned vegetables
⦁ Cranberry sauce
⦁ Canned soups
⦁ Boxed stuffing mix
⦁ Boxed mashed or scalloped potatoes
⦁ Boxed macaroni & cheese
⦁ Ramen Noodles
