Mississippi Braves postpones opening game due to safety concerns

JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – The Mississippi Braves season-opening game has been pushed back until Wednesday.

On Tuesday, the team canceled the game to keep the fans safe while thunderstorms pass through parts of the metro.

According to the Mississippi Braves, opening night will be on Wednesday night at 6:35 p.m. and Tuesday’s game will be made up as part of a Thursday doubleheader.
