Tom Joyner retires after 25 years on radio


JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Tom Joyner announces his retirement from radio.

His nationally syndicated radio show “Tom Joyner Morning Radio Show” hit airwaves in 1994.

He will be succeeded by Ricky Smiley.

Joyner was born and raised in Tuskegee, Alabama, one of many cities that helped shape the civil rights movement.
