Jackson, Miss. (WJTV) – Jackson Police are investigating after a break-in at a fast food restaurant.

Police arrested Cliff Hayes and charged him with business burglary.

It happened before 5 a.m. Tuesday at the Church’s Chicken on West Woodrow Wilson Ave. in Jackson.

Commander Tyree Jones with the Jackson Police Department tells us a witness saw a man break into the building and steal three boxes of chicken. The witness said the man rode off on a bike.

Police caught up with the 67-year-old suspect near the intersection of Vardaman and Bailey Avenue and took him into custody there.

Jones said several boxes of frozen chicken were recovered and returned to the restaurant.
