A first-ever economic development seminar for kids in Vicksburg aims to teach them to be future business leaders and how to contribute to their community.
The Mayor’s Economic Development Update forum takes place Thursday, Oct. 4 at 11 a.m. at St. Aloysius High School.
The forum was established by Vicksburg Catholic School to help students learn the basic concept of economic development and recognize that Vicksburg is a viable location to work and live after graduation, according to a press release from the school.
Panelists at the seminar will share personal and professional experiences.
Students will be able to interact by asking questions and getting answers. The purpose of this event is to encourage youth in Vicksburg and Warren County to “take ownership in the future of our community,” the school said.
