If you’re a foodie, come out and come hungry to the annual Taste of Mississippi.
Tonight’s event will be held at the Railroad District. Dozens of chefs will be there preparing all sorts of culinary delights.
The proceeds benefit Stewpot Community Services. Monies will shore up programs like their food pantry and women’s shelter.
Executive Director Jill Buckley estimates nearly 60 people walk through their doors every day needing some kind of assistance.
“Stewpot offers mostly emergency services for people who are in crises like food shelter and clothing but, we also offer a host of what I call supportive service which would be a legal medical clinic, art classes, an after-school program.”
The event runs from 7 to 10 pm tonight at the South Warehouse.
