Boil Water Alert issued for Jackson customers

JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Jackson leaders issued a precautionary boil water alert for 275 customers. This comes after a recent loss in water pressure in the areas.

The alert affects the streets below:

  • Peterson Drive
  • Whitten Road
  • Sylvester Drive
  • Benson Drive
  • Reno Street
  • W. Woodcrest Drive
  • E. Woodcrest Drive
  • (100-999) Woody Drive; 39212
  • Council Circle 39216

Customers are asked to boil their water for one minute until adequate water pressure is restored. Water should be brought to a rolling boil for one minute before customers cook, bake, make ice cubes, take medication, brush teeth, wash food, mix baby formula or food, mix juices or drinks, wash dishes and all other consumption.

City leaders said customers will be notified when the alert is lifted.
