Many turned out for the 35th annual Wellfest at Fowler Boyll Park on Saturday, which featured non-stop music and activities throughout the day.

Proceeds from Wellfest benefited non-profit group Growing Up Knowing.

The Mississippi group campaigns to educate teens about pregnancy and sexual health.

Executive Director Dana Larkin said they’re “going to develop and sustain a facilitator training program, so that we can have really great facilitators who are well-practiced and can really implement our programs as well as possible.”

The festival featured a 5K run, a 1-mile fun run and a pet parade, which ended in a special “Blessing of Pets.”

Admission was free to the family-friendly, alcohol-free music festival and was hosted by Wells Memorial United Methodist Church.
