The city of Jackson names its new police chief. James Davis has worked his way through the ranks, most recently serving as interim Chief.
The council made the decision with a unanimous vote. 6-0
Davis says the biggest issue the department is facing is obviously crime. His top two priorities: Increasing the force and engaging the community
Chief Davis says he appreciates having support from the council. He also made it clear the department will need financial backing well.
