JDRF gets ready for their ‘One Walk’ to stamp out Type 1 diabetes

The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation annual ‘One Walk’ happens later this month.

We have a preview of the event from the organizers

JDRF One Walk has one goal: to create a world without Type 1 Diabetes (T1D).

Type 1 diabetes is an autoimmune disease children and adults face in their everyday lives, it’s serious and stressful to manage no matter the age. There is nothing you can do to prevent T1D and there is currently no cure.

Join WJTV 12’s Byron Brown on a walk to make steps of progress against this disease. Come on down to the Nature Park in Flowood, October 20, check in starts at 9 am and the walk begins at 10 am. You can help by registering to walk with us today!  We can’t do this without you.
Byron is hosting the walk.
