JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) — Toys ‘R’ Us is liquidating all of its stores in the U.S, including the one on Countyline Road in Jackson.

WJTV 12 talked with the owner of a local toy store and staple in the community about how they’ve been able to keep their doors open for decades.

Olde Tyme Commissary carries a few of the same manufacturers as Toys ‘R’ Us, but the reason they’ve been able to stay open for more than 45 years is because of the specialty products that they carry.

“Anybody who walks in that front door is my guest, and I’m happy to see them,” said Sandra Weber, creator of Olde Tyme Commissary.

The women of the business credit customer service for the success of their booming business.

“Providing fun and unique items you can’t find anywhere and everywhere we go all over the country to different markets finding those fun things, Melissa Skelton, owner of Olde Tyme Commissary.
