Mission Mississippi celebrates 25 years of racial reconciliation

JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) — Mission Mississippi celebrates its 25th Anniversary.

The organization held a news conference to talk about the work members have done towards racial reconciliation and healing throughout the State of Mississippi.

“I believe that Mission Mississippi has changed race relations in the State these past 25 years for the better,” said Neddie Winters, president of the group. “Mission Mississippi has worked tirelessly hosting events, prayer gatherings, seminars and offering a safe place for dialogue about tough issues to take place.”

Gov. Phil Bryant also attended the news conference.
