The National Weather Service has confirmed the presence of an EFO tornado with winds of 75 miles pe per hour five miles north of Brandon on Wednesday.
The tornado traveled more than a mile and a half cutting a path fifty yards wide at around 9:16 pm.
It began near the intersection of Branbury Court and Rusk Road in the Castlewoods community. The small twister downed trees before traveling east across the golf course, snapping a tree and uprooting another.
The tornado ended just pass Willow Grande Circle, where it snapped some more limbs and a threw a
trampoline into the trees.
