Police: Shots fired into Jackson home, two injured

JACKSON, Miss.(WJTV) - Jackson Police are investigating a shooting that left two wounded Saturday morning. 

Officials responded to the 2600 block of Key Street for a residence that had been shot into. 

After further investigation, officers learned two occupants in the home suffered from gunshot injuries. 

A 35-year-old woman was transported with non-life threatening injuries, and a 26-year-old man was transported with life-threatening injuries. 

Casings were discovered around the residence and near the street. 

Witnesses told police a small, dark colored sedan fired multiple shots at the residence before fleeing the area. 

Anyone with information about this shooting is asked to call CRIME STOPPERS at 601-355-TIPS(8477). A cash reward is available if the information leads to an arrest.
