The Rankin County Sheriff’s Department needs your help finding a suspect from Sunday’s armed robbery at the Shell Service station at the intersection of Hwy 471 and Baker Lane.

Sunday night deputies, along with Flowood Police answered a call from an employee. Authorities arrived with minutes but by the time employees called, the robber had left the area.

Surveillance video shows a black male wearing camouflaged pants and dark ski mask carrying, what appears to be, a hunting rifle walking around the rear of the building.

Neither employee was at the front counter when the perpetrator entered the building. The man went straight to the cash drawer taking less than $1000 cash and left with encountering the clerks.

The Department says investigators have good video of the incident and were able to collect some forensic evidence on scene.  They will be looking at other surveillance from neighboring businesses today and trying to develop leads in this case.

If you have any information regarding this robbery, please contact the Rankin County Sheriff’s Department at 601-825-1480 or email adimartino@rankincounty.org
