Surveillance video released in A&S Food Mart break-in

UPDATE: 01/17/2016 7:09am Surveillance video has been released.  Anyone with information on the suspects involved is asked to call police:

JPD believes that the truck was stolen from the home of an elderly man.  The man had called police this morning to report that the truck had been taken.  Surveillance video shows three suspects using the pickup truck to smash into the business.

WJTV’s Margaret-Ann Carter spoke with the owner who said that he does not believe that anything was taken and that an ATM inside the store may have been the suspects’ actual target.Original Story:

JACKSON, Mississippi (WJTV) The wall of a Jackson business on Robinson Road is knocked down overnight.

It appears that someone smashed in the front of the business, the A&S Food Mart.  WJTV’s Margaret-Ann Carter says broken glass and mangled metal are on the ground and the store is an active crime scene.  Several Jackson Police officers are investigating.  At this time it is not clear what was taken or whether there are suspects.

Police are expected to release more information soon.
