WJSU radio off-air

WJSU’s radio station is off the air. The 40 year old station is a perennial favorite for many in the metro area.

We went to the Mass Communication Department at JSU to find out what’s going on.

Leaders tell us they’re having an issue with the transmitter and it’s causing the station to go off the air.

People behind the project are glad to know listeners are concerned.

“This is just temporary and in the very very near future we will be back on the air and just as soon as the day we get back on the air will give you our word that word that we are back,” said Dr. Elayne Hayes-Anthony.

The radio station is waiting on some parts before they can make the necessary repairs. They plan to be back on the air in a couple of weeks.
