Mississippi Forestry Commission battles wildfire in Harrison County


HARRISON COUNTY, Miss. (WJTV) – Mississippi Forestry Commission wildland firefighters are working to stop a wildfire that’s burning in Harrison County.

Officials said the wildfire is approximately 1,500 acres. The fire started on Sunday, April 26.

Local fire departments evacuated an apartment complex in Long Beach. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
