Mississippi has second cheapest gas prices in the nation

JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) — Labor Day is one of the busiest travel days in the nation each year.

Mississippians driving on the road will be glad to know that the Magnolia state has the second lowest gas prices in the nation.

According to gasbuddy.com, the average price for regular gas in Mississippi is $2.01 per gallon.

South Carolina is ranked No. 1 for the cheapest gas prices in the U.S., with regular gas averaged at $1.96.

Behind Mississippi is Alabama, Tennessee, and Louisiana.
