The Mississippi Organ Recovery Agency held a ribbon-cutting for their garden of hope in Flowood.
Mora’s CEO says the garden will serve as a reminder for all the people that lost their lives but became a blessing for others. Kevin Stumps hopes it will serve as a reminder of just how important the gift of organ donation can be.
“This garden is for the families, for the families who are still here and whose loved ones have really made a difference in our community…this is a symbol to the people of Mississippi that we do care about you and once you donate, we don’t just walk off and forget about you. That you’re very much now a part of our family and this garden is for them.”
Stump says there could be plans to expand and make the garden bigger and better in the future.
