JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) — Some neighbors on Lee Drive said they find the water soothing, but at some point they want it to stop.
“It’s just you know sounds like a waterfall it’s soothing you know,” one resident said. “You had a long day come chill by this water fountain.”
One resident said the street was recently repaved, and this water main break comes weeks after another was repaired just a few feet away.
The leak is on the side of Lee Elementary. The road sees heavy traffic during school hours.
“The buses started coming you know it made it bigger now water is just running.”
“I would like to see it fixed as soon as possible,” said Cortnie Walker, who lives near the school. “Because by it being right on the curb where the school is and the kids up and down these parts all day.”
WJTV reached out to city officials about the issue. A spokesperson told us that the Public Works Department would be notified of the issue so that repairs can be made.
