More Newsfeed Now

On Newsfeed Now for June 17, the conversation started in Tennessee where a high school baseball team recently took its first state title, but behind the trophy is a story of connection.

Today’s other stories with scroll to times:

7:08 and 11:52 – A Confederate monument was vandalized in Nashville. The monument was smeared with red liquid and “They were racists” was written on its side. WKRN’s Erica Francis has the story.

7:52 – Today is a big day here at Newsfeed Now. Twenty-three years ago our parent company Nexstasr Media Group was founded and to celebrate this day we went out in the community to give back. We take a look to see what KTAL is doing in Shreveport.

14:26 – We end the show with a story from east Texas where a young girl is cancer free after battling a rare form of cancer. She is now enjoying her summer doing what she loves, playing basketball.
