On Newsfeed Now for March 11, our top discussion was about the shifting of tornado alley towards the east. We are just at the beginning of the spring severe weather season, and we’ve already seen some devastating storms. We brought in KNWA Meteorologist Rick Katzfey to talk about what researchers say is happening.

Up next at the show’s 5:40 mark, the conversation turned to social media dangers. One of the main responsibilities as parents is to keep kids safe. In today’s social society we must also protect them online. WATN’s Brad Broders told us about one scary situation and the warning parents need to listen to.

When the show clock reached 11:20 we introduced you to a hero cat in Mobile, Alabama that family members thought had died in a house fire. WKRG’s Chad Petri shared details about how “Darby” woke her family, giving them just enough time to escape. They didn’t find her until two weeks later.

And we rounded out the show with some happy tears at 15:30. We took you to Wichita Falls, Texas to show you how a mililtary dad who’d been away for months on deployment gave his two children a homecoming surprise at their school. KFDX’s Jason Spor shared the touching moments.
