No. 2 Mississippi State clinched a share of its first-ever SEC regular season title by beating Vanderbilt 95-50. Vic Schaefer’s squad can outright claim the championship by winning one of its next three games.
The victory also gives the Bulldogs the top seed for the SEC Tournament.
Against Vanderbilt, MSU took control early and never looked back. Victoria Vivians and Teaira McCowan led the way with 19 points each. Three more Bulldogs (Roshunda Johnson, Blair Schaefer, Jordan Danberry) got into double figures. MSU forced Vanderbilt into 26 turnovers.
Mississippi State will host No. 17 Texas A&M on Feb. 18.
