ADAMS COUNTY, Miss. (WJTV) – A local mom is still struggling for closure after her son was shot to death just outside the city of Natchez on New Year’s Day.

“It’s hard, every day I think about him. All through the day, when I am at work, I think about him every single hour because he is so missed.

Sandy Larry holds back tears.

“And it’s so hard and my heart is so heavy right now, for losing my son the way that I did. And I don’t know why,” said Larry.

As she struggles with the fact nearly eight months have gone by and no one knows who killed her son, 24-year-old Bobby Butler.

“I just lost it. I didn’t know what to think. I didn’t know if he was going to make it or not,” said Larry.

Detectives say Butler was shot on New Year’s here on Gardner Circle in Natchez.

First responder tried to save his lice but he died from his injuries.

Right now, detectives are piecing together clues but still are having no luck they need the public’s help “This particular community is real close knit. Somebody out there saw something, somebody knows something, “said Major Jerry Brown with the Adams County Sheriff’s Office.

“I just want answers and I want someone to come to the Adams County Sheriff’s Department and tell them what happen to my son,” said Larry.
