JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – According to the National Weather Service, the Pearl River in Jackson is expected to crest at 35.5 feet on Saturday.
Right now, there is moderate flooding from the river. This comes after heavy rain caused severe flooding in the metro on Tuesday.
The City of Jackson released a list of the streets that have been affected by the Pearl River so far. The streets were affected once the river reached 33 feet.
- Annie Street (No homes on graveled street. Only one building, but water did not get in structure)
- Sidney Street (No homes on graveled street, abandoned warehouse)
- Town Creek to bank level and into low points
- Rosemary Road – East of Terry
