LAUREL, Miss. (WJTV) — B&C Mobile Homes donated a double-wide manufactured office building that the Powers Fire & Rescue will use.

The 28′ x 56′ double-wide will complement the volunteer fire department’s existing fire station on Highway 184 in the Powers Community in Jones County.

B&C Mobile Homes owners Bo & Beverly Burroughs had the building delivered last week.

The 1,568 square foot office building features two meeting space areas, three offices, kitchen, men’s and women’s bathroom facilities. The owners said it is valued at $38,500.

“Beverly and I are pleased to donate this manufactured office building to Powers Fire & Rescue in recognition of the incredible job that they do in providing fire, rescue, and emergency medical response services to the residents of the Powers Community and surrounding communities,” notes B&C Mobile Homes owner Bo Burroughs. He adds, “Beverly and I had no idea just how much the volunteer firefighters and emergency medical responders at Powers Fire & Rescue do every week keeping our residents safe. Beverly and I personally challenge every business and individual to support their local volunteer fire department. We encourage residents to get to know their community volunteer fire department and volunteer firefighters and be involved in what they do and help support their efforts to save lives and property.”
