Two arrested for child abuse charges in Jones County

UPDATE:

JONES COUNTY, Miss. (WHLT) – Jones County deputies said the two suspects who were wanted on child abuse charges were arrested by Waynesboro police on Friday.

Royesha Williamson and Marcelus Sampson were transferred into the custody of the Jones County Sheriff’s Office.

The two were booked into the Jones County Jail and are expected to make their initial appearance in Jones County Justice Court.


JONES COUNTY, Miss. (WHLT) – Jones County deputies are working to find two suspects wanted on child abuse charges.

Investigators said Royesha Williamson, 22, and Marcelus Sampson, 24, both face two counts of felonious child abuse. They’re accused of abusing two children who were each one-year-old at the time of the alleged abuse.
