MADISON, MS – Several people have been arrested in connection to a rash of recent auto burglaries in the Jackson metro area.

On the evening of September 1, 2015, Madison PD initially arrested 21-year-old Kenneth L. Strait of Flora, MS while responding to an auto burglary in progress call in the Cypress Lake subdivision.

Police later identified 23-year-old Michael D. Lester of Flora, MS as a second suspect. During the investigation, officers found that more auto burglaries had been committed in the city of Ridgeland and Madison County.

Madison police informed other law enforcement agencies and Ridgeland police were able to locate and arrest Lester in the city of Ridgeland.

Further investigation lead to the arrests of 22-year-old Taylor R. Wynn of Ridgeland, MS and 24-year-old Matthew L. Goodwin of Madison. Madison Police officers located both men in a Madison neighborhood.

Police later discovered that several vehicles had been entered in several subdivisions including Cypress Lake and Reunion.

Kenneth L. Strait, has been charged one count of Auto Burglary and given $20,000 bond. Matthew D. Lester has been charged with one count of Auto Burglary and given $20,000 bond. Taylor R. Wynn has been charged with one count of Conspiracy to Commit a Felony and given $20,000 bond. Matthew L. Goodwin has been charged with one count of Conspiracy to Commit a Felony and given $20,000 bond.

All of the suspects are being held at the Madison County Detention Center. Police say more arrests and charges may come as the investigation continues.
