Police in Virginia are confirming that video posted on Facebook via its “Facebook Live” feature is indeed that of a shooting that took place last night.

The shooting took place at approximately 6:10pm ET on July 12, 2016 on the 900 block of Bainbridge Boulevard in Norfolk.

The video appears to have been taken by one of the victims, TJ Williams, who was recording a video of himself and two others smoking in a car while listening to music.  The three victims are in their late 20’s.

In a written release issued this afternoon Norfolk Police said that two of the men are reported to be “doing better;” one is still listed in critical condition.

They are asking anyone with information on the shooting to call the Norfolk Crime Line at: (888.LOCK-U-UP) (888.562.5887) or text “NORFOLK” to CRIMES (274637).  Tips may be submitted via the Internet at: www.norfolkcrimeline.com

Police have not yet released a description of any suspects or confirmed whether any suspects are in custody.

The video contains language, subject matter, and overall content that may not be suitable for all.
