MDOC captures two escapees – Updated

Two inmates who escaped from the Noxubee County Transitional Center are back in police custody according to the Mississippi Department of Corrections.

Escapees Christopher Parmenter and Andrew William Carter escaped the center in Macon.

Both men are serving time for burglary.

There is no word from the Department on what additional charges the two may face.

The Mississippi Department of Corrections said officials are working to find two escapees.

According to MDOC’s Facebook page, Christopher Parmenter and Andrew Carter escaped the Noxubee County Transitional Center in Macon around 7:45 p.m. on Sunday.

Both men have been convicted of burglary.

Officials said Parmenter was convicted in Marshall County and is on house arrest. He is reportedly serving a total of three years for two residential burglary convictions. He was sentenced on November 21, 2016.

According to MDOC, Carter was convicted in Union County and is on parole.
