Peco Foods announced plans to build a $40-million cold storage facility in West Point. The project calls for more than 300 new employees in the Golden Triangle area over the next four year.

The West Point location will provide freezer, cooler and storage space, enabling the company to serve its large and diverse customer base.

Government leaders along with the Mississippi Development Authority (MDA) will be providing support for workforce training and for wastewater and infrastructure improvements.

Peco is the eighth largest poultry processing company in the country.
