Storied high school football coach Bobby Hall has resigned his most recent post.
Hall stepped down from his job as Philadelphia High School Coach and Athletic Director over the weekend.
According to a statement in the Neshoba County Democrat, Hall told them, “I thought I was the man for this job. Obviously, I am not. I cannot get these children to respond to me so I am going to step aside and let someone else take this role,” Hall said in a statement to the Democrat Monday.
Superintendent Lisa Hull received his resignation Sunday.
Hall has been coaching football in Mississippi for 41 years.
